What we collect and why
| Information | What it includes | Why we need it |
|---|---|---|
| Account details | Your name, email address and mobile number, plus a password stored only as a one-way hash. | To create your account, confirm bookings and send the one-time code used at sign-in. |
| Booking details | Dates, room type, number of guests, and the amount charged. | To hold the room, produce your invoice and manage your stay. |
| Identity documents | A photograph of the government photo ID presented at check-in, and a guest photograph. | Indian law requires a hotel to record proof of identity for every guest before check-in. |
| Payment details | Card and bank details are entered on Razorpay's own checkout and are never sent to, or stored on, this site. We keep only Razorpay's payment reference and the amount. | To take payment and to match a refund to the original transaction. |
We do not track you
This website runs no analytics, advertising or social-media tracking of any kind. There are no third-party tracking pixels, and we do not build a profile of you or sell your information to anybody.
The only things stored in your browser are:
- A secure sign-in cookie, so you stay signed in between pages. It is set by our server, cannot be read by scripts, and is removed when you log out.
- A short-lived record of a booking you are part-way through, so you do not lose your dates and room if you sign in mid-booking.
Card details never reach this site
Payments are taken on Razorpay's own checkout. Your card number, CVV, UPI PIN and net-banking credentials are entered there, not here, and are never sent to or stored on this website. We keep only Razorpay's reference for the payment and the amount, which is what lets us match a refund to the original transaction.
Who else sees your information
- Razorpay: Processes card, UPI, net-banking and wallet payments, and returns refunds to the original payment method.
- Google Sign-In: Optional. If you choose to sign in with Google, Google confirms your identity and shares your name and email address with us.
- Booking channels: If you booked through MakeMyTrip, Yatra or a similar channel, that channel holds your booking and its own terms apply to it.
- Authorities: guest identity records are kept because the law requires it, and may be produced to the police or other authorities where they are legally entitled to them.
Beyond these, we do not share your information with anyone, and we never sell it.
How your information is protected
- The whole site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS).
- Passwords are stored only as a one-way hash. Nobody at the hotel can read your password, and we will never ask you for it.
- Signing in to a guest account requires a one-time code sent to your email, so an exposed password alone is not enough to reach your bookings.
- Identity documents are stored outside the public web root and are not reachable by a direct link. Only signed-in hotel staff can view them.
How long we keep it
Booking and invoice records are kept for as long as tax and hospitality record-keeping law requires. Guest identity documents are kept for the period required of hotels for guest records. Your account details are kept while your account is open. Ask us to close it and we will remove what we are not required to retain.
Your choices
You can ask us to:
- tell you what information we hold about you;
- correct anything that is wrong;
- delete your account and the information we are not legally required to keep;
- stop sending you anything other than messages about your booking.
Email info@hotelmeyyappaa.com or call +91 99650 99656 and we will help. You can also update most of your details yourself from your profile once you are signed in.
Children
This website is not intended for children, and accounts are for guests aged 18 and over. Children staying as part of a booking are recorded on that booking by the adult making it.
Changes to this policy
If we change what we collect or who we share it with, we will update this page and the review date at the top of it. Our Terms & Conditions explain the rest of the booking relationship.
